About Compassionate Citizen

“It is not enough to be compassionate.  You must act.”  ~  The Dalai Lama

I’m doing my best to live a life of compassion and non-violence.  I often speak out for victims of abuse who cannot speak for themselves, including some of the most underserved: the world’s animals, especially those used by humans for food.

My husband and I share our Southern California home with eight rescued cats, four of whom from the harsh life of a junkyard.

Thank you so much for the welcome feedback and positive energy! I appreciate your optimism! I’m looking forward to adding content soon. : )

  2. Are you on Facebook or Twitter? If not you should be. Anyone with a website should utilize these popular ‘communication’ and social tools to help spread the word even farther and you will gain more and more support as friends ‘like’ your page on Facebook and/or follow you on Twitter. Thank you for caring and for being an advocate to help change this world for the better. http://www.areyouaware.net

Thank you for the comment, Stacey! Yes, I’m on facebook, and sent you a friend request and message. I’m glad to have made your acquaintance, as I see we share many of the same passions. I’m still setting up this blog, and as soon as I fill in a couple more blanks, I’ll start letting others know of its existence. Hopefully it will evolve into a useful resource, as well as the outlet it provides me. I do use facebook extensively for spreading the word about animal issues and my involvement. Stay tuned… : )

I enjoyed your e-newsletter and I am very interested in borrowing an image for the purpose of painting it. It’s the baby calf nuzzling it’s mother. Could you send me a private message on my Facebook Artist’s Page? https://www.facebook.com/nancyconantpaintedportraits
    Thanks! -Nancy

Glad you liked the reading, Nancy! The pic you’re referring to is one of my favorite images of motherly love. As you requested, I’ll contact you through your fb page. : )
